For the Culture Awards

The For the Culture Awards are a signature honor presented during the Black Culture Fashion Show (BCFS), recognizing individuals who embody the heart of Black culture through excellence, resilience, and impact.

Black culture is rooted in the ability to rise, create, and lead—often in the face of adversity—while opening doors for others. These awards celebrate community leaders, creatives, educators, advocates, and change-makers who are actively uplifting Black culture and advancing opportunities for people of color through their work, service, and influence.

As part of BCFS, the For the Culture Awards reflect the show’s deeper mission: to celebrate culture, inspire the next generation, and spotlight those who are shaping a stronger, more empowered community.
